Inburgering and NT2 exam prep

Know which Dutch exams you need. Then pass them.

Most people are given three different answers about what they have to sit, usually by people who sound certain. Start with the route quiz — it works yours out from the published rules — and prepare for exactly those exams, at exactly the level you need.

The quiz is free and always will be. No account, no email address, nothing to pay, about two minutes.

  • No account and no email address are needed to take the quiz or to read your result.
  • Analytics and error monitoring stay off until you switch them on, and refusing takes the same one click as accepting.
  • Everything runs in the EU: the app in Frankfurt, the database in central Europe.

Step one

What you get at the end

Six to ten questions, branching on what you tell us. Most people answer fewer than they expect, because a question that cannot change your answer is not asked.

  • Whether you are required to integrate at all, or are choosing to sit the exams anyway.
  • Which learning route applies to you — and where the honest answer is that your gemeente decides, not us.
  • The level you have to reach, A2 or B1, and why that can depend on when your situation began.
  • A part-by-part list: what you still need, what you have already passed, and what you are exempt from.
  • The official page to check it all against before you book an exam or pay anyone.

The product

What the paid product will be

Once you know your checklist, this is what prepares you for it. Being built now — the honest state of each part is at the bottom of this page.

  • Practice engine

Banks per section and level: Lezen, Luisteren, Schrijven, Spreken and KNM, at A2 and at B1. Topic-balanced selection rather than random, so a short session covers the section instead of two corners of it.

  • Timed mock exams

Full simulations that mirror the official length, item count and timing. No hints, no explanations until you finish, and a timer that keeps running if your phone dies — the session lives on the server.

  • Feedback on writing and speaking

The two parts free competitors cannot grade. Write or record, get a score against a level-specific rubric and three concrete things to change. It is machine-generated, it says so, and official grading may differ.

  • Review that knows your exam date

Wrong answers come back on a spacing schedule that is clamped to your exam date, so nothing is scheduled for after it. Inside the last fortnight it compresses and prioritises your weak topics.

  • Readiness, per section

One score per part with the components shown, not a single number you cannot interrogate. Available as text throughout — no meaning is carried by a chart or a colour alone.

  • KNM on the current format

The KNM eindtermen changed on 1 July 2025 and a lot of material still in circulation predates it. Being demonstrably current is the whole point of this one.

What you are up against

Five parts at A2, four at B1, each booked and sat separately

They do not have to happen on the same day or in any particular order. One of them is not even on a computer.

  • Lezen A265 minutes
  • Luisteren A245 minutes
  • Schrijven A240 minutes
  • Spreken A235 minutes
  • KNM45 minutes

Two very different situations, one quiz

Your gemeente has given you a deadline

You have an integration requirement, probably a PIP naming a route, and a date to be finished by. The quiz asks what your route actually turns on and tells you which exams that means. Where your gemeente has not decided yet, it says so instead of guessing.

Nobody is making you do this

EU, EEA and Swiss nationals, kennismigranten and their partners have no integration requirement at all, and plenty sit the exams anyway — for permanent residence, for naturalisation, or to stop feeling like a guest. The level you need depends on your goal and on when your position was established, which is the thing forum advice gets wrong most often. The quiz asks for both.

Your answers are not stored, and there is nowhere to store them

The quiz has to ask about your nationality group and how you came to be here, because the rules turn on them. Those answers are worked out on the server and then dropped. This is not a promise to delete them later: there is no nationality column in our database, no migration-ground column, and no field a health condition could go in. Only the result is kept, so that it is still here if you come back.

This matters more here than in most products. You are asked to hand your immigration status to institutions constantly, usually without a choice. An exam app is not one of those institutions, and it should not behave like one.

Read what we do and do not keep

We will tell you when this app cannot help you

Some results mean software is the wrong answer: the Z-route, a full exemption, or no requirement in the first place. Those pages say so plainly, link to the body that can actually help, and carry nothing to buy. Selling exam practice to someone who does not need it is the cheapest possible way to be useless.

Schrijven A2 is handwritten, on paper

Typing practice trains a different task, and no app can fully simulate the real thing. We will say so on every Schrijven A2 screen and give you a printable answer sheet, because the alternative is letting you find out on the day.

The content is AI-generated and human-reviewed

Generated against the official eindtermen and blueprints, then reviewed — with a Dutch-speaking reviewer on the language content. Saying so costs less than being found out, and it is the same standard we ask of the sources you check us against.

What is built, and what is not

This is a pre-launch site and it is better to say so here than to let you find out.

Not for sale
There is no checkout, no subscription and no paywall. When there is one, the route quiz stays free.

Start with your route

Everything else in this product depends on knowing which exams you are preparing for. That part is finished, and it costs you nothing.
